big regrets in my life shaped, shot yourself in the foot again son, soaked in whiskey, coke and rain, on trains, platforms zooming by, sit and watch girls on opposing trains, look thoughtfully, creepily. born in the wrong era, in the wrong area, i thought, as smoke exhaled, our love exhumed, and flicked doubts for old times sake into small metal boxes next to pub doors, rain, rain rain, and nothing else, silence and rain and nothing.

everything is one way with you, and so, so long. need to cut and run, but cant stop falling, and failing, and looking stupid at every turn. girls always win. smug winks; thrown drinks, left in city centre with no hope, acting clever as ever, then crying, feeling stupid. 

happiness felt paramount, now seems miles away. whats next? time tells
